Documents Required for Self-Drive Car Rental

Customers must provide the required documents and complete verification before collecting a self-drive rental car. These requirements help confirm the customer’s identity, driving eligibility and booking details.

1. Valid Driving Licence

Customers must provide a valid driving licence that authorises them to drive the selected vehicle. The licence may be checked in its original physical form or through an accepted official digital version.

2. Aadhaar Card or Other Identity Proof

Customers may present Aadhaar or another accepted government-issued identity document to verify their name and identity. Aadhaar verification must follow applicable requirements, and customers should not be asked to disclose their Aadhaar password, OTP or other account credentials.

3. Passport (If Required)

A valid passport may be accepted as additional identity proof, particularly for international visitors, subject to the company’s verification policy. A passport does not replace the requirement to hold a valid driving licence for the vehicle.

4. Current Address Details

Customers must provide their current residential address and accurate contact information. Additional address proof may be requested when reasonably necessary under the company’s disclosed verification policy.

5. Mobile Number

A working mobile number is required for booking confirmation, rental communication, emergency updates and vehicle-return coordination.

6. Emergency Contact Details

Customers may be asked to provide an emergency contact number under the company’s disclosed policy. The contact information should be handled responsibly and used only for appropriate purposes.

7. Signed Rental Agreement

Before collecting the car, customers must review and sign the rental agreement or provide valid electronic acceptance. The agreement explains rental charges, deposit terms, permitted drivers, vehicle-use conditions, return time, damage responsibilities and other applicable rules.

8. Payment and Security Deposit Confirmation

Customers must complete the agreed rental payment and pay the applicable security deposit, where required. A receipt should be provided for payments received, and the deposit refund conditions should be explained before the rental begins.

Important Conditions Before Collecting Your Car

• The driving licence must be valid for the selected vehicle.

• All documents and customer details must be genuine and verifiable.

• Only authorised drivers may drive the rental car.

• The rental agreement must be completed before vehicle handover.

• Original identity documents will not routinely be retained as security.

• Customers must never share Aadhaar OTPs, Aadhaar passwords, banking passwords or other confidential account credentials.

• Personal information will be collected and handled in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.

• The company may refuse a rental if identity or driving eligibility cannot be verified.

• Every rental is subject to applicable laws, vehicle authorisation and insurance requirements.
